ABOUT US

Andrew Lewin launched Project 1000 on 10th October 2019 (World Mental Health Day), a consultancy company that specialises in resilience and wellbeing coaching, safeguarding training, educational consultancy and support services.
Andrew explains, “I am at a stage of my life when I am able to make some lifestyle choices that will have a positive impact on my own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. I took the decision to work as a consultant and have set up my own company, Project 1000, that allows me to manage my life/work balance. I have developed a broad portfolio of roles all of which involve doing interesting work with interesting people.
Very aware of the impact that a poor life/work balance can have on personal wellbeing, Andrew is qualified by personal and professional experience. In 2013, he suffered with depression and took a long hard look at himself. Through Project 1000, he is now putting his own experiences and his subsequent training into practice to support others, both individuals, teams and organisations, to try to get the balance right!
Andrew adds, “When I became ill there seemed to be a real stigma surrounding personal wellbeing. With nothing visible on the surface and with resilience low, it is easy to try and hide the struggles that you are facing, but these issues can rapidly build up and become overwhelming. It is not a sign of weakness to admit that you need support and, once I had plucked up the courage to do something about the way I was feeling, everything became much clearer and my recovery began. I realised the fight that I had been having, mainly with myself, and I started to get better. Through Project 1000, I hope to help people to become more self-aware and encourage individuals, teams and organisations to value wellbeing more highly, finding practical ways to support themselves and those around them.”
